I am available for individual and group supervision, in person and (to extent allowed) remotely. Typically a cadence of 1-1.5 hours every two weeks works well, but meetings can be less frequent to meet your needs.
I am flexible with my time, including weekends and holidays.
If you are up for it, nature walking for supervision provides multiple benefits, weather permitting!

My professional social work experience has been in inpatient and outpatient medical settings. I am the most confident working with social workers in similar settings for supervision and consultation. I strongly feel the need to support those serving diverse populations who are the most affected by systemic and institutional injustice.

Washington state Department of Health recently decreased the total hours of clinical experience to allow LICSW candidates to complete requirements within 2 years instead of 3 years. You may wish to augment the individual supervision provided through your employment in order to complete requirements within the shortest period of time.

I have professional, volunteer and familial experience navigating the multiple impacts of chronic illness. I am familiar with Medicare benefits, the challenges of hospital discharge planning and helping clients apply for a myriad of disability benefits. I can assist with clarifying and communicating wishes for end-of-life services. I work with clients and families, providing support, information and referral to community resources.
Welcome to Kato Social Work!
About Kato Social Work...
My name is Louise Kato, LICSW. I started my business primarily to offer Social Work supervision and consultation. My goal is to facilitate the growth of future social work care providers and administrators. I have a special interest in promoting the advancement of people of color, to better meet the needs of disenfranchised communities.
I also have knowledge and experience navigating care for our elders due to my medical social work background. I provide consultation and support to patients and families.
